My name is Claude, i am located north-east of montreal.

I own a house that has been built in 1976. The exterior wall on the front of my house is made of natural stone (pierre des champs) wich i do not really like because this type of stone in not flush with the wall. I would like to cover it with wood sidding.

So, my question is :

Can i simply cover the actual wall without having to remove all that stone ?

If it is possible, are there any pitfalls when installing insulation, vapor barrier and air barrier ?

By the way we religiously watch your show !
Very informative.
