As a specialist who sells multiple lines of windows AND has to deal with the fallout of less than top quality windows My experience has been #1) Andersen, #2) Milgard, #3) Simonton, 4) JELD-WEN and haven't even heard of Alpine. There are a bunch of "extruders" out there and if you have a hundred large to invest you could become one as well potentially. Milgard does have a very good warranty as well and when you buy through a reputable retailer you actually have recourse with the vendor. The Andersen 100 series is a great window and doesn't have to break the bank.
