I have a 31 years old working Burnham heating system (hot water boiler), working on gas. It is 79% efficient. The house in the Boston area.

I am thinking of replacing it before it dies, with a >95% AFUE one.

What holds me up is that I was told that new & efficient systems are less reliable and require more maintenance

Any recommendations for reliable efficient systems?
