Our new house has a large barn out building. It has plank siding, but no overlap of the planks. Instead, there are gaps between planks in some areas. We are looking to insulate the structure, but there is no vapor barrier. Can we simply install insulation between the studs against the siding? What is the standard practice in this situation? We live in the Northeast.
