I’m in the middle of having the exterior of my house painted. After day one of painting (after prep.) they applied the stucco paint and proceeded to the Wood eaves and trim. I noticed they were using the correct color, but it was flat paint vs. the satin paint I thought they would be using, as I thought that was the standard for trim. I guess I just looked at our contract for color agreement and didn’t realize the paint code was for flat. My painter is now telling me if I want Satin I’ll need to pay an additional $350-$500, Is it worth the extra expense. Keep in mind, I have a 2200 sq.ft. home eaves, one door and 2 small areas with a wood triangle under the eaves/pitch of my single story home will need the Satin paint. Bottom line, I guess his quote was for flat and will need to exchange that flat for less than 5 gallons. Oh and can Satin be applied with a sprayer or does it need to be painted with a brush/roller?
I’m looking for an answer ASAP.
Thank you
