Home inspector found a crack in the foundation of a 1921 home that I am about to purchase. The crack goes from end of the house to the other. It is a concrete foundation wall. The wall is accessible through the basement as has a full basement and that wall is exposed concrete.
Also a part was added to the back of the house and a different type of foundation was poured. It has a vertical crack as well. Can it all be fixed and what am I looking at in regards to the effort it would take and estimated $$? The house has other issues such plumbing and electrical. Trying to decide if just demolish and rebuild or fix. Any recommendations?
