Are 'BOSS' products good for restoring the leach field? I'm having a hard time finding the products in my town that you have on the list. There's lots of CLR products but I'm afraid they are too harsh. I'm looking for one specifically for restoring my leach field.

I recommend a product called "Septic Drainer". I've been using it twice a year for perhaps 20 yrs. It is specifically intended for restoring leach fields. In my case it restored and maintained.rhe leach field at my summer house. The leach field and distribution box were clogged with roots. The local septic company cleaned the roots out of the box and half the field but was unable to clear the rest of the field. I don't remember who recommend SD to me but I gave it a shot figuring it probably won't work as the field was too far gone. 20+ yrs later I still have the same box and field working fine. It is installed twice annually via a toilet (liquid) on Memorial Day and Labor Day. Follow directions. The unpleasant smell is gone in 5 to 10 minutes. My soil is claylike and the location is in Argyle, NY.
