Hi. I cannot remove the silicone caulking on the back of my pedestal sink. It’s like cement and I even scored it. Two of my blades broke. I read a hairdryer softens it. Is that true. The waters off, the lines are disconnected and the bolts are out. It won’t budge and the silicone caulking won’t either.
Any advise would be appreciated

You could try an old (or new) wood chisel. Tap lightly. If you decide to take a couple of good whacks at it be sure to wear safety glasses.

Do you have a dremel and diamond cutting disks? Other suggestion would be goof off. It is said it can remove what ordinary removers can't.
