I just had my custom cabinets installed and when the design was made I opted for a freestanding range. But I am know thinking a slide-in model will go better with the look of my kitchen, I have not had my countertops installed as of yet. Is it to late to make the the change? If not what changes do I need to make to allow for the new range.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt it.

Both should fit in the same space, the only difference is usually a slide-in model will not have any coloured side panels and does not have a backslash so you may have to alter that area of the wall behind it to match the rest of the kitchen (if it doesn't).

But... before you do anything, read the installation instruction for the range model you intend to purchase. Most manufacturers have such information available in downloadable format on their web sites for current production models.
