I also have the problem of having the hole for the dryer vent on the rear of the unit making the dryer stick out of the wall several inches. I assume if there is no cut out on the side of the unit, you can not make it be flush to the wall.

Or is there a way to make this haappen.

Some models of dryers can be alternately vented out the side or bottom of the cabinet. If there is not a round 'knockout' on the side, it will not be able to be converted to a side vent.

You can purchase flat ducting (see the following link) which will minimize the distance the dryer will stick out but it will still not allow flat 'against the wall' installation.

The only other alternatives I can think of is build the duct *into* the wall or purchase a dryer model which does have an option of venting through the side or bottom. In the latter case, usually a 'side vent kit' would also have to be purchased.

I purchase a dryer LGE model MW2077 which does have an option of venting through the side. Would you please advise where can I ordered a 'side vent kit'?

Also, a few tips how to install the side vent kit will be very helpfull and appreciated.

** I purchase a LGE dryer **

I've never heard of "LGE", only "LG" or "GE". Which is it??

** model MW2077 **

That model number looks incomplete, did you get it right off the appliance's model and serial number identification tag? That is usually the only place the complete model number will be found.

You can find tips for locating the model number identification tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my web site linked below.

Such a kit (if available for whatever brand and model it is) should come with installation instructions.
