Model FIM44

The red LED on the front is lite and the On/Off button does not do anything. I don't know if the red LED means that it is in the ON mode or if it just means that it is getting power.

The fuse on the control board is good.

The compressor is not running and I checked that output of the relay on the control board and it is not energized.

The unit worked until it was moved.

It has sensors on the condenser and evaporator. Based on the symbols on the diagram they are thermistors, but I am not sure. And I have no idea of what their range is to test them.

Check the wiring for loose connections, but did not find any.

But I could not access the control panel/leds.

Do you know how remove the control panel. There seems to be 3 screws through the bottom, but there is also silicon seal around the top and sides so I did not try to get it off.

Do you have any other ideas?

Franklin is out of business.

that red led being on means the unit thinks the ice bin is full.

if that helps.

p.s. are you sure they are out of business.

i googled franklin chef and came across manual for model number you gave.

The LED that I am talking about is on the left side, over the On/Off button.

To the right there is, in order a making ice mode LED, a harvesting mode LED, and a ice bin full LED.

None of those LED is on and neither the Clean or Mode buttons do anything.

Yes, they are out of business. I found the notice. It was listed as a chapter 11, but aparently went to chap 7 as I could not find any resources and both phone numbers that I have are disconnected and the webpage does not exist.
