im curious how you go about making drywall shape around an arched doorway or a circular wall insert for a plant or something, Im thinking of just soaking the drywall in water and it will then be flimsy enough to bend but from what Ive heard it gets brittle when wet and then dry-- what do i do?

I've seen contractors use two layers of 1/4" drywall. The thinner drywall 'bends' better, and the two layers will get it to the required thickness.
