Question: Is it safe to use an 8in dado blade on a 10in table saw? Oviously, I've never used a dado blade. Thanks.

yes, you can use an 8" dado on a 10" table saw.Make sure both have same arbor (center hole) probably 5/8"

Hi Kevetts,
Millwork is correct since there are few sets that are larger in diameter. Being new to dadoes you should know that most dado and rabbet cuts are no more than 3/8" high by 3/4" wide and regardless of the diameter they usually run at about 13-15/16ths wide for the whole set. There are of course variations but.....There should be a dado insert for your table saw,(if not find one of the right make to use) and check the specs on the saw for any restrictions regarding the use of dadoes. Good luck and take it slow.......MJH
