I purchased a Jacuzzi Pulsar II shower/whirlpool spa 5 years ago. After 2.5 years the valve started to leak and had to be replaced for $150. Now at 5 years it is leaking again. Jacuzzi says that their valves can fail after three years but usually last longer. I am used to valves lasting 20 years. Will any other valve cartridge fit in a Jacuzzi Optica 300 mixer. I bought Jacuzzi because I thought they were a quality company, they are not.

This is a terrible example of manufacturing. Faucets should last at least 10 years. Cartridges should last at least 5 years. If it was me, I would get Jaccuzi to supply me with enough replacement cartridges to last me 20 years and or replace the faucet. If they are unwilling, I would see about talking to the State Attorney general's office. This product should have a better warranty than that. This should fall under the lemon law.

Good Luck

just installed the Jacuzzi Lynsdsey shower facet. Ithe valve will not shut off the water supply unless I manually shut down the water with a screw driver on the plumbing portion of the components provided. I cant find any trouble shooting solution or decent instructions on fixing the problem
