Hello!
The toilet flushes normally. When there is anything (like toilet paper, etc.) it backs up. Used a plunger, and that clears the block. Put more toilet paper it backs up again. A cycle that I have gone through a few times.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Emil
Was the toilet recently installed or is this a new problem with an old toilet? if the toiled was recently installed, it may not have been set properly on its mount, causing limited clearance... water will pass, but not anything larger. reinstall toilet. if it is an older toilet, that means there is a buildup in the drain pipe causing the blockage. first try using any of the draino type chemicals to clear the blockage. if that does not work, remove the toilet from its base and visually inspect the pathways. remove any blockage and reinstall toilet- be sure to use a new wax ring and bolts.
