We had our YK metal kitchen doors repainted. Between removing the doors, deliver them to the carpainter and back to us, the bottom hinges came off. 5 of them to be exact. Does anyone have doors they don't use with bottom hinges intact? Especially the spring part that makes the door "pop-into" its place when installed.
I am just getting ready to take my units to the powder coater and had already decided to take all of the hinges off for exactly the reason you lost yours. I knew they would be to hard to find. I posted a message asking for them from beat up unsaleable cabinets. I have all of mine but about 7 of them came apart at the rivet when we removed the doors. I thing the door being in between them kept them working. I think they will still work when we put them back together. In the meantime I am looking for them anyway. If I find more then I need, I'll let you know. I don't know what you mean by the pop-in ones though.
yes, these are still available. do you live close enough to fairfield, ct, to pick them up? they would not be available right away as we would need to make arrangements, if you are interested, to have our kitchen redone. Thanks!
I noticed on your cabinet countertops thay they have been replaced with newer countertops. Our's have the chrome bands around the tops and we are wanting to replace the entire countertop. Did you replace these yourself and if so, did the original countertop just lift off or what?
Thank you for answering my email

I'm in the process of updating my kitchen and my countertop just lifted right off of my Youngstown cabinets. The counter seemed to be held in place mostly by the sink and also it was "glued" to the wall with caulk.
The countertop was replaced with a laminate top, but we didn't do it. I'm sorry I can't help you out!
