Hi! A friend of mine asked me today if he can install a 220-volt thermostat instead of the old 24-volt, mercury contact to control his 10-year old gas furnace. He says that all the 24-volt thermostats he saw on the market are ugly, and he would like to install a 220-volt thermostat made to control electric baseboard heaters. Is it possible? I think not, so I am asking your advice. Thanks.
