When we try to enjoy a fire from our woodburning fireplace we begin to notice a foul smell from our kitchen sink drain. It eventually becomes very noticable-p.u. We do not notice the smell from any other drain. What in the world could be doing this? Running the garbage disposal does not help.

I would agree with that answer also. The reason why is because it sounds like you have a tightly insulated house, and the fireplace is drawing air for combustion. If you have a bad seal in one of your sinks, it will draw air right through the pipe.
