Due to moving trees etc., our lights are always going on. My question, are there sensor lights out there that can be at ground level and not be connected to electricity? Recently put in two garden ponds and would really like to have this type of lighting around the ponds to help keep predators away.

Moving trees should not cause motion detectors to go on. They are supposed to sense a combination of motion and body heat. Mine are not affected by wind in the trees and bushes. If that is realy what is setting them on, you might just want to replace them with more modern units.

I have outside lights that are solar and are triggered to turn on only when the sun goes down. Home Depot and Lowes carry them.

Maybe that will work for you...?

Usually motion detector lights have some sort of "aiming" device that focuses the motion sensor. In addition, some sensors have a "sensitivity" control. Perhaps focusing the sensor more toward the ground and/or adjusting the sensitivity may help.
