For the last 3-4 days every time the AC kicks on, the computer shuts off. Nothing else in the house turns off and it happens no matter what outlet the computer is plugged into. The house got all new wiring six years ago and a new AC compressor five years ago.

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.

You have not said anything about flickering lights.

If you do have flickering lights then the problem is a bad connection in the supply or the transformer is overloaded. It might be a problom on "your side", but more likely it is on the power company's side as it is exposed to the weather. So start by calling the powoer company.

If there is not light flickering then it would appear that the problem is in the computer power supply and that the normal amount of "noise" on the power lines is confusing the computer power supply.

A good power supply can ride out a signficant power drop.
