I have two sheets of t1-11 covering the gable ends of my house. The top sheet has become very weahered an I plan on replacing it.My question is what size nail do I use to anchor the new sheet to the old.The siding is five eights. Also would it be better to screw the new to the old with a vapor barrier in between? Thanks

Might be better to remove the old and replace it than to cover it over but if you cover over use ten penny nails driven through this T111 into the studs.
