I am interested to know if anyone could tell me what type of finish I could put in a barn that could withstand the elements of weather and horses.....all the inside is finished with tung and groove board(white pine) I would like to keep it looking good and give it some gloss. Make wash downs of the walls easier. Is there any kind of polyurethene that could withstand this? I welcome any suggestions. Thanks

I would go with 3 coats of marine spar varnish and that should withstand the water.

Another product you might try is called CWF made by Flood. Its an oil based finish (but water clean-up) intended for outdoor use. I used it on the inside of my log house on the logs (northern white cedar) and barn siding walls. It gives a nice honey pine color to the raw wood.
