Our 2 story colonial house has a high stair case leading to the second floor. I would like to paint the walls differently from the ceiling. How do I do this. Is an extension letter the only way?

Something I did when I had this predicament was to take an extension ladder about halfway down the steps and lean it toward the walla that would be overhead and in front of me as I was walking down the steps. From their, I took a long piece of 2x12 lumber, stuck it in a step and laid it on the floor at the top of the steps. This made a plank I could walk across comfortable.

Good luck!
