I have a stained area of roof shingles from overshooting a wasp nest with wasp/hornet killer. I learned too late that this stuff stains shingles.

Is there a way to remove these stains?

If the shingle is stained and running water over the shingle dosn't remove the stain, using any other type of stain removal, or even scrubbing the shingle will damage the integrity of the shingle its self. The best bet would be to replace the shingle/s.

I used Oxyclean powder and it removed at least 75% of the stain from my roofing... To where it is not noticeable. Make a paste out of the Oxyclean powder... apply to damp roof.... use a soft brush and leave on for about a half hour on stained area... rinse with hose and repeat if necessary. Oxyclean powder really does work very well without damage to the shingles.
