I've been trying to watch the thread and learn how to re-silver an old mirror. I have a 64 year old mirror that belonged to my grand-mother. I can't find anyone around close who does this, and I need to learn how I can do this myself. Everytime I click on "Watch this thread", I get a red message saying that I've already watched the thread and I did not see any instructions of any kind on how to do this. Please help me!

Thanks, Marilyn Gayle

I don't know what thread you're trying to watch.....

Here's a link to a chemical process...CAREFUL !

http://www.make-stuff.com/formulas/mirrors.html

But usually......sandwiching the old mirror "as-is" with a same sized/shape new mirror will restore the function of the mirror with a special Grandma's antique patina.......

Visit a window glass shop for the custom mirror panel..........

"...measure once.....cut twice....throw that one away and cut a new one...."
