Need help. I'm trying to install an unusual type of wall and I want to be sure it's safe and sturdy. To save money and to be different, I decided to use some old solid wood doors, that are no longer used in the house, as a wall. I thought if I refinished them (which I'm in the process of doing), hooked them together by hinges, and hung them by the ceiling and somehow 'bolted' them to the floor they would make an interesting wall. Problem is that I want to make them secure and i'm not sure how to hang them or secure them to the floor to where it looks good. This will be a partition dividing two bedrooms, I'm not so much worried about the carpet because eventually we'll replace it, (but not for a while) but there is a finished wood floor under that. The house is a duplex that we own and we live upstairs. Hope that's enough info. Thanks.
