What are recommended types or models to replace this with. I don't want to extend a vent to the attic but want satisfaction in a vent. It just kinda spreads odors, it doesn't remove them. Any suggestions?

My range has an existing vent above it, that just filters and recirculates the air. There is no vent to the attic.

Range hoods that do not vent to the outdoors but instead just recirculate the air usually filter it through an activated charcoal filter. If yours is not going an adequate job, maybe the charcoal filter just needs changing. When was the last time you replaced it?

It shouldn't be vented into the attic regardless. It should be vented directly to the outdoors, whether through a wall or through the roof.
