He everyone. I have a Kenmore 110.81950100 washer and it stopped working the other day; it wouldn't drain, spin or agitate. I replaced the motor coupling and disconnected the water pump to drain it and it worked fine in a test run, including spinning and draining.

Now 5 minutes later I put a small load in. The machine filled and agitated normally, but then it just stopped. Now I can't get it to spin or drain. I can't imagine the lid switch failed in those 5 minutes; it still "clicks" when I close the lid or depress the switch manually.

But is that the most likely culprit? Or do I need to re-check my coupling?

Please ignore the previous message. What had happened during those 5 minutes was that I had noticed the cabinet wasn't sitting right on on the frame, so I removed the console and reset the cabinet.

I woke up at 2am and realized that I had probably forgotten to plug the console back into the lid switch. Two minutes later everything was working just fine.
