I have been scouring the internet, looking for a simple swingset plan. I have come up empty handed, and am desperate to build one for my daughter. I would like to build a swingset with the A frame on either end and just two swings, both baby swings for now. Very simple idea, but don't know the angles, or the best thing to connect all the pieces with, brackets or what. Any help that can be offered would be great, I want to get started on this project right away, so my daughter can get to use it soon. Thanks!

Hi rosiesheperd,

Start here: Swing Set Plans.

You may have to pay for them, maybe not. Also, consider visiting you local Home Center for books. I'm sure has something too. Just use swing set plans as your search-criteria (like I did.)

My best to ya and hope this helps.

Many lumber yards have the plans - as simple or as complex as you want. The plans should be free - just buy the lumber from them. The yard will sell it as a complete kit (bolts, nuts, etc). The cost will be similar to the big box stores.

One hint: put the top 2x4s on edge, not flat. I've seen too many swing sets where the 2x4s are flat and bowed.
