Please help, I have a kenmore 70 Series washing machine model 11081366164.

The spin cycle works just fine on the pre wash setting. However when I switch to a washing cycle, either regular cycle or permanent press, it goes through the spin cycle but the clothes come out all wet. Any ideas?

Thank you, Lisa

Does the tub actually spin or is it just the pump that is emptying the tub of water but the water not actually 'spinning' the clothes?

I have the same problem with my Kenmore Series 70 washing machine. (Model #110.22702100)

In certain cycles it does not dry the clothes completely. In other (permanent press) or putting it on the 2nd rinse spin cycle, it works okay.

Based on my research it wouold appear that the timing module (approx $120) needs to be replaced.

Does that make sense?

If you mean the machine's timer, I would say that would be one of the less likely possibilities although might be a *slim* chance.

Requiring a second spin to be run before clothing was properly spun dry could be caused by a slipping clutch or even just water not being drained from the tub fast enough before spinning started.

I would suggest some actual investigation be made before just replacing parts on a whim. There is a good repair manual available for that design of washer which might help:

Thanks, I will consult the manual. It's strange. It always spins on the pre wash. It spins on other cycles when no clothes are in it. When I add clothes (any amount) it spins about 20% of the time. I have to put it through the pre wash to get it right!

I appreciate your help!
