*wash cycle works perfect, but after that it stops completely. I can move the nob to the spin cycle, and the spin cycle will work perfect until it gets to the end...then it will stop.

*to make a long story short....it wont drain :-D

Any help would be amazing....this washer is about 10 yrs old, I got it from a friend and just don't have the money for a new one. :-(

** wash cycle works perfect, but after that it stops completely **

So are you saying the timer stops moving after the wash part of the cycle and never advances on to the drain and spin part of the cycle?

If so, it sounds like there may be a problem with the washer's lid switch. The timer will not advance into the spin portion of the cycle (where draining also takes place) unless it can detect that the lid is closed, as a safety precaution.
