We just had about 3 feet of snow last week and 2 inches of rain on this past Saturday. It occurred to me to go down to check on the sump pump, just to make sure. Well there was about 2inches of water in the basement! The sump had failed to come on. I checked the electrical connection and jiggled the plug and the pump came on and worked fine from that point on.
My question is that the pump has been cycling normally since then but water is still pouring in a a pretty good rate. The pump is running about once a minute still. With all of the melting snow and rain should i be concerned that the water is still draining in so rapidly? Do I possibly have another problem?
