Compound Sliding Miter Saw
I've been intending to buy a Dewalt708 12" Sliding double-bevel compound miter saw for some time now. But the RIGID equipment on the recent set of Home Depot TV ads has me interested in the Rigid 12" equivalent... model LS1290LZ as it has a laser alignment feature and a slightly wider cut.
In selecting a major purchase, I would suggest always checking the specs on items.
just recently, HD took on the line of Rigid tools, which most wont be available until Jan of 2004. I can assure you that Dewalt stands for itself in the construction field.
also, the laser is an excellent feature, but one major tool line has this part on back order until February of 2004. This is a very expensive part item when having to replace. If you would like specifications on both of these items, I can supply them for you. I can also quote you a figure as far as cost of each if you prefer.
