I just bought a ***** table saw model number 101.02140 can anyone tell me what size motor I need to run this and what size blade and what year is it, I puchased it for 62 bucks. any info on this saw would be appreciated, thank you very much

the old sear's catalogues recommended .5 hp for the 8 inch table saws and .75 for the larger saws. todays manufactures usually have .75 or larger onm the 8 inch saws and 1.5 or larger on the 10 inch saws.
the type of wood you will be cutting will help determine the size of the motor. very hard woods like oak and maple need mor hp to get a faster cut. made pre 1958 and is most likely an 8 inch saw. most of those old saws have a .5 inch arbor so that a new blade will require an arbor adapter as the blades made today are 5/8 inch arbor hole.
