Does anyone know, approximately, how much it costs to have a tankless water heater installed and how long the installation takes?

Labor varies widely around the country. Installation is very simple but may be complicated by electrical or gas service changes that may be needed. I plan on using them in new home to be built next year.

Re: Tankless Water Heaters

Go to www.energyinnovations.net or call 1-888-455-2312. These people are the experts.
I have a Takagi Model TK-2 in my home. I can run 3 faucets simultaneously and never run out of hot water.
Any plumber or HVAC guy can install these.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I finally got the heater installed last week. The plumber I hired charged half as much as the 3 plumbers that I got estimates from and took about half the time (4 hours) this included having to break through a cement and plaster wall for the vent. He also had never installed a tankless heater before and the other plumbers had (go figure). Thus far I have been very happy with it. It gives me plenty of hot water even when the washing machine and shower are going at the same time.
