Faith, I'm sure you've done your research on geothermal but wanted to add that we really liked it. We had it (Water Furnace brand) in a 2,100 sq. ft. cedar log house in Central Ohio. Very comfortable, quiet running and cheap to operate. Equipment cost is a killer of course but if you plan to stay in your place long enough to make back the investment I think it is well worth it.
