The exterior wood trim on my house needs painting, again, and I am considering permanent liquid vinyl siding rather than paint. There are so many different brands/types. What are the differences? What is best?

First off nothing is permanent outside much less a house paint. Think about the paint on your car which is very high tech and it will not last forever. You can also paint your house three to four times with regular paint for what this so-called forever paint will cost so is it really cost effective. Also if the paint that is already on your house peels so will the paint put on top of it.

So I would use the top of the line acrylic/latex paint from a national paint company and you should get at least 5 to 7 years out of the paint job.
