How do I remove the black backing left by removing old linoleum? I have scraped, used heat, and tried a product called "Oopps". There has got to be an easier way.

Welcome tildawilda,

I'm no flooring expert (hopefully one will respond!). But I know what you're going through. I tackled this job once (about 15 yrs ago). Back then, it was suggested I try a "power scraper" (from a tool rental store).

I considered that option--and said, "Naaaaahhh!" I ended up covering up the floor with new flooring.

You might also try the 'search' option on the BBS; I seem to recall that this topic has come up before....good luck.

Regards,
