ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jenny Stanley is an editor and writer with more than a decade of experience in both print and digital publishing. Her specialty (more like obsession) is DIY home improvement.
Jenny kicked off her home improvement-focused editorial career while she was still in college, working as intern with both Do It Yourself and Kitchen Style & Storage magazines, two special interest publications of the Better Homes & Gardens brand.
Her next stop was more than eight years with Handy magazine, during which she worked her way up from associate editor to managing editor, producing home improvement projects, writing and editing articles, collaborating with designers and photographers, representing the brand at trade shows and events, and appearing in videos.
As senior digital editor at Family Handyman, Jenny helped build the brand’s first ever editorial team focused exclusively on digital content. During that time, she also helped launch two Family Handyman video franchises that continue to be liked and shared on social media.
When away from her computer, you can find her tearing out old kitchen cabinets, refinishing a coffee table, or tending to her vegetable garden. Can you relate? Questions, comments, and story ideas are always welcome!
