condensation on windows
We have storm windows on a new doublewide home. The inside windows are fogging over and the outside window has a lot of condensation on the interior part.In the long run,I know this will lead to mildew and rotting. We left the inside up a little which solved most of the fogging but the condensation on the interior part of the outside window is still there. We don't want to keep the inside window up and we want to eliminate the condensation. Any solutions or advise will be appreciated.
do you have a vent fan for humidity? a 100cfm bathroom fan on a humidistat (get humidity down to 40%). and using the kitchen exaust fan when cooking will help cut down on the interior condensation. which leads to the outer pane condensation that is probably leaking out of the house. the outer pane should not be weather tight as it will lead to a moisture problem on the outer pane.
