My house was built in 1945 with hardwood floors through out. I have been here for 7 years and there has been no cupping with the floors. There is no water barrier under the house in the crawl space. You can tell at one time there was some plastic because of the scattered pieces. I want to a new barrier down but I can't find a straight answer. Some say put the vapor barrier down period others say hardwoods need some moisture and to only cover 3/4 of the crawl space. Please advise.
