We will soon be removing a casement style window to install a new one. HOW do we do this?

Step one:

Remove the sash from the frame (usually just a few hinge screws & the slide mechanism secure it)

Step two:

Remove the casing (& exterior trim if required)

Step three

Collapse the frame by first cutting a side in half horizontally (usually with a sawzall) & then prying the pieces into the opening. They usually fall apart after one side is loose.

The above assumes a wood window.

If the window is metal, follow the same procedure, but the frame will be ornery & verbal persuasion helps.
