I wired a light switch to outside light I used a current switch to get power to the new switch and the wired that switch to the outside.. now the outside light is always on now reguardless of switch position.. the old switch operates it's light currently and the new switch also turns that old light on and off but the outside light just stays on... What did I do wrong?

To eliminate the possibility of a bad switch I would disconnect one wire from it. If the light still stays on then the configuration of the wiring is incorrect. Note: always turn power off when working on electrical wiring. Don't work on live circuits!
