I looked through the archives and did not find anything on this topic, I need to rebuild the outside stairwell wall and steps leading to my basement, I have looked and looked and have not found a simple plan and item listing on how to do this, I want to do it myself because this is such a good opportunity to make sure it is done the way I want..

if anyone knows how or where I can find out this information.. I would really appreciate it.

I have dug out the area, need to dig the footer area... but I would like to know how deep it should be.. how long.. this is an incling wall.. so.. do I dig the whole thing the same depth? do I pour the wall first? then build the steps? how does one box in the steps? what degree of grade do I make it? how to insure I am true?

I have some basic knowledge.. but this is my first attempt at a contruction of this type, so I want to get my ducks in a row before I start spending money..

and then there is what to buy... how much of it and all that...

the digging I think was the easy part.. hehe

thanks.. and I have an email addy if you just want to email me.
