My dishwasher backflows and fills the bottom few inches of my sink. I don't have an air valve or disposal. I've snaked the pipes 25 feet from the sink and didn't find any obstructions. The water seems to flow well when draining from the sink. I've tried the vinegar/baking soda thing to no avail.

The last thing I can think of is to put a check valve between the drain and the dishwasher connection. I have a concern that the check valve will become clogged frequently.

Is there anything else I should try?
Are there specific check valves that won't get clogged from standard food debris that gets placed in the sink?
