I am in the market for a deck and am looking for any information, good and bad, about a new product called Extrudawood. Longevity, durability, whether it's worth the price, etc. Any info greatly appreciated.

Haven't heard of that brand, but my advice is for you to check the dimensional stability of the much expansion. If you choose to use it, be sure you leave space between deck boards to allow for the expansion in heat. Get manufacturers instructions for installation and follow them exactly or forget the warranty. Some of the plastic only types look soiled gray in no time. The wood fiber ones are suppose to have better stability, but do show weathering more.

I used extruded wood to build a 6'x12' deck as a preface to a larger project. We have found it to be extremely slippery when wet or cold. Any solutions, I have been trying to come up with some way of grooving it?
