My forms are set and ready for concrete for my footing. We had a thunder storm yesterday and my ditch filled with water. How long after the water drains should I wait before pouring the concrete. It is supposed to be 80 - 90 degrees for the next 4 days and then rain again. I'm working with clay.

thanks

You should remove all water ASAP and scrape out any mud or loose material.

Allow the subgrade to dry completely before you pour.

Clay will shrink when it dries and could cause some settlement problems later on if it is not dry when you pour.
