We are building a new home. Some how one sewer vent pipe is going to be exposed in the bathroom. A screw up by the plumber & the builder. We are being told it's safe to have the pipe vented inside. How true is this?

I want the sewer gasses to vent out through the roof but we are being told it's impossible to change this problem now.

Thanks.

You are correct and the plumber is wrong. Code requires VTR piping to allow fresh air in and to let gas escape. Call in the local building inspector immediately!
