When flushing my toilet, the water doesn't leave the bowl, but instead rises. While the water in the tank goes back up to the fill line, the water in the bowl very slowly starts to go down. Any ideas of what might cause this problem and what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

Hi It sounds like a clog in the closet bend. You purchase a 3' ( auger Snake) from that home store and run it through the toilet past the trap If it;s a wad of paper clog or sanitary napkin, this will do the job 90% of the time. If your not sure how to use a clost auger post back. and I'll be more the happy to explain it to you. Tom
