All of a sudden yesterday I noticed a puddle of water on the floor by my kitchen sink and I was able to trace it back to the rinsing hose. For some reason, water was coming out of it even when the faucet was not on. I managed to provide a stop-gap repair by pulling the hose out a bit and laying it across the sink divider upside down. That seemed to work OK (at least the water was going down the drain) but this morning the leak seems to have intensified.

How can I fix this? I am truly a DIY novice but hate the thought of calling in a plumber for something I might be able to fix myself. Thank you!

You need to define where the leak is coming from.

You may be able to by a new rinse head or the pipe conecting it to the mixer taps.

Or it might even be simply the threaded end(s) of the rinser hose have come loose.

Have a good look at where you think the leak is coming from & let us know. It doesn't sound that difficult to fix.
